Purpose and inputs
Purpose and inputs
Adult BMI classification, Mifflin–St Jeor metabolism, TDEE and an illustrative macro split.
Method and assumptions
BMI = kg/m². Choose an adult classification: WHO (overweight 25, obesity 30), Hong Kong/Korea (23/25), China (24/28), or Japan (obesity≥25). New visits use a URL-language default that can be changed; classification uses the unrounded value. Legacy shares without a standard retain WHO. BMR = 10 ×kg + 6.25 ×cm − 5 ×age + sex coefficient (+5 male, −161 female); TDEE = BMR×activity factor. A 500 kcal deficit and 30/40/30 macro allocation are arithmetic examples, not dietary prescriptions. Not for children, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
